I already replied privately to Erlinda, but for anyone else wondering if you can quote or link to anything on my blog, the answer is yes. All I ask is that you give me credit and include a link to the post or picture, or simply to sralos.com.

Thank you so much.

The ellipses, like most everything else, is best used in moderation. Sadly, the example illustrated above was pretty much dead on for some players way back when. It was so hard to read, that most times I just didn't bother. But, your milage may vary. If it's working for you, then by all means, don't change it.

As for others misinterpreting your tone ... been there, done that. LOL I totally understand what you mean. If someone has had a bad day, they are way more likely to read a negative tone into what you've written. Anything you can do to avoid that situation works for me. :)

Thank you very much. I wish I could find the time to update the blog more frequently than I do, but real life is always getting in the way. I also have several new fantasy art images to add to the gallery, and of course I want to put those in the Cafe Press store as well, so stay tuned. :)

Thank you for your comment. So often critics don't really consider digital art as "real art." I expect attitudes to change in the future, but it can't happen fast enough for me.

Fantasy Art Masters presents many cslsaic and renowned art masters such as Lee, Brom, Berry, Burns, Stone and many others, grouped into three subdivisions: those who work solely in physical paint hairy sticks and pigments, as Don Meitz puts it; those who augment their work through digital means Jim Burns and Rick Berry are good examples; and, finally, those who work solely in the digital like Steve Stone and Dave McKean. The book displays some of their best art from Howe's Gandalf on Errand through Burns's Kaeti on Tour . The transition to paper has been made extraordinarily well, with no discolouration or smudging of any sort, and most of the pieces are followed by descriptions of what led to their creation. Also, the artists share their own insights into the technique of art and the future of fantasy art in general. This is a marvelous compilation of the highest-quality art in the field. I consider this work a must-have for anyone interested in the field of science fiction and the visual imagery in such.

Ah... I use ellipses and acelamxtion points way too often as well! I think I justify my overuse of the acelamxtion point by telling myself that people can never tell your tone of voice over the internet, so I just want to make sure that they know I'm exuding some emotion. It's just like the addition of a smiley face at the end of a sentence; I don't want people thinking that something is critical and/or mean. Oh...the woes of internet posting! :)
